Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate assigned courses in the Medical Assisting program, ensuring a dynamic and enriching learning environment for students.
- Conduct bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom, delivering interactive instruction and support.
- Maintain a flexible schedule for office hours and personalized student meetings to foster academic support.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assessments, including quizzes, tests, and projects.
- Actively engage with at-risk students to promote participation and academic success.
- Keep comprehensive records of student attendance and academic performance, submitting final grades according to institutional policies.
- Collaborate in faculty meetings and training sessions, committing to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
- Remain knowledgeable about industry trends and educational methods to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Strong expertise in Medical Assisting practices and processes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to motivate and engage students in a remote learning format.
- Proficiency in using Zoom and other educational technology platforms.
- Solid organizational skills for maintaining accurate student performance records.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health or a related discipline is required.
- A Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Allied Health Management, Public Health, Medical Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or in a corresponding role.
- Preferred certifications include CCMA, CMAA, CMA (AAMA), RMA.
- Previous online teaching experience is advantageous, although not mandatory.
- Commitment to attend necessary faculty training prior to teaching is expected.
