Key Responsibilities
- Teach 9 credits per semester in data science, mathematics, and statistics, ensuring the delivery of engaging and rigorous academic courses.
- Contribute to curriculum development to keep the department aligned with emerging trends in data science.
- Advise and mentor students majoring in Data Science and mathematics, guiding their research projects and influencing their academic and professional journeys.
- Engage in ongoing research in statistics and data science, with emphasis on machine learning, big data analytics, statistical modeling, and visualization.
- Proficiency in teaching a broad range of undergraduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and data science.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with students and colleagues.
- PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Science (expected completion by August 2025).
- Previous experience in teaching at the collegiate level, particularly in mathematics, statistics, and/or data science is desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to effective teaching practices and student success, supported by evidence of prior accomplishments.
