Key Responsibilities
- Develop and/or refine the course syllabus to align with departmental goals
- Prepare comprehensive lectures, assignments, projects, and assessments
- Grade student submissions promptly and offer detailed, constructive feedback
- Maintain office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) for student support, either in-person or virtually
- Participate in departmental meetings as necessary
- Stay abreast of evolving teaching methodologies and best practices in higher education
- Leverage technology tools, including Blackboard and TEAMS, to enrich the learning experience
- Complete required CPAST assessment system training (training materials provided)
- Submit mid-semester and final grades within stipulated timelines
- Cultivate a positive rapport with students and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment
- Prior experience in teaching within the Education sector
- A Master's degree in Education (Terminal degree preferred)
- Active Connecticut teaching certificate(s) required
- Experience with virtual teaching platforms
- Familiarity with the EdTPA assessment system is advantageous
- Strong dedication to cultural competency and the ability to engage with diverse student populations
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with students, peers, and external stakeholders
- Master's degree in Education (terminal degree preferred)
- Active Connecticut teaching certification(s)
- Previous teaching experience in the Education field
- Familiarity with virtual teaching formats is preferred

- Non-Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,000.00
- Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,200.00
- Non-Terminal Degree/7 Credits Experience: $3,400.00
- Terminal Degree/7 Credits Experience: $3,700.00
