Key Responsibilities
- Lead the student teaching supervisory course, meeting weekly in the evening.
- Develop and/or refine the course syllabus in alignment with departmental goals.
- Prepare engaging lectures, assignments, and assessments to facilitate student learning.
- Evaluate and grade student submissions, delivering prompt and constructive feedback.
- Maintain regular office hours (minimum of one hour per week) to assist students, either virtually or in-person.
- Participate in departmental meetings as necessary.
- Stay abreast of current teaching methodologies and best practices within higher education.
- Utilize technology platforms such as Blackboard and TEAMS to enhance the educational experience.
- Complete training for the CPAST assessment system (training materials will be provided).
- Submit mid-semester and final grades in a timely manner.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational environment.
- Prior teaching experience in the field of Education.
- Strong commitment to cultural competency and the ability to work with diverse student populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient written and verbal communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively with students and colleagues.
- Experience with virtual teaching formats.
- Familiarity with the EdTPA assessment system is advantageous.
- A Master's degree in Education is required (a terminal degree is preferred).
- Active Connecticut teaching certificate(s) are required.
- Prior experience supervising teacher candidates is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

- Non-Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,000.00
- Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,200.00
- Non-Terminal Degree/7 Credits Experience: $3,400.00
- Terminal Degree/7 Credits Experience: $3,700.00
