Key Responsibilities
- Participate in CBA Instructor Training to gain the necessary knowledge and skills for effective program delivery.
- Attend Rising Tide CBA Instructor Certification sessions.
- Shadow a digital CBA cohort to familiarize yourself with the online teaching format.
- Co-manage and co-instruct a CBA cohort, either in-person or online.
- Lead cohort sessions, guiding participants through the CBA curriculum.
- Prepare class materials and ensure the curriculum remains engaging and relevant.
- Communicate effectively with participants, instructors, and site monitors as needed.
- Provide constructive feedback on assignments and track completion timelines.
- Offer individual coaching and technical assistance to support participants in overcoming entrepreneurial challenges.
- Monitor participant progress regarding graduation requirements and provide necessary documentation.
- Engage in pre-semester meetings and weekly discussions with fellow instructors to maintain program consistency.
- Create an inclusive environment that encourages participant interaction and idea sharing.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to supporting marginalized entrepreneurs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging diverse learners.
- Proficiency with online learning platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom.
- Emotional intelligence and cultural competency to connect with various participants.
- A comprehensive understanding of Real Estate Development Fundamentals and the industry challenges encountered by entrepreneurs.
- Proven experience in teaching, facilitating group learning experiences, and providing one-on-one coaching.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in small business operations or consulting, especially within real estate, property management, or community development.
- Graduate of the Community Business Academy preferred.
