Remote Early Childhood Support Assistant / Teaching - SY 24-25 | WFH

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Support Assistant for the upcoming school year who is committed to fostering the academic and social-emotional growth of our students. Key Responsibilities

• Partner with lead educators to create an interactive and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
• Act as a co-teacher or assistant to facilitate lesson implementation and reinforce learning.
• Provide individualized support to students in both one-on-one and small group settings.
• Uphold school policies and routines to promote positive behavior among students.
• Assist with academic record-keeping and monitor student progress.
• Lead targeted instructional sessions utilizing evidence-based methods tailored to student needs.
• Document and assess the effectiveness of interventions for continuous improvement.
• Support students in maintaining focus and engagement during learning activities.
• Collaborate with special education professionals to ensure appropriate accommodations are in place.
• Maintain open lines of communication with families, participating in meetings as necessary.
• Assist with initial screenings and contribute to the development of student success plans.
• Monitor student participation in various interventions and activities.
• Supervise students during breaks and scheduled activities.
• Help prepare educational materials and organize the learning environment.
• Carry out administrative tasks related to student arrival/dismissal and daily routines.
• Substitute for classroom teachers during professional development sessions as required.
• Perform additional duties as needed to ensure a safe and productive educational setting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, ESL, or Special Education is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an educational setting is desirable.
