Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead teachers to cultivate an engaging learning environment.
- Assist in executing lesson plans while providing one-on-one or small group reinforcement.
- Ensure students remain focused and maintain appropriate scholarly behavior.
- Support lead teachers in maintaining communication with families and managing records effectively.
- Facilitate small group instruction or individual tutoring using targeted, evidence-based interventions.
- Track and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate intervention records.
- Assist with student transitions throughout the school day and supervise group activities.
- Help prepare lesson materials and maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere.
- Step in for lead teachers during meetings or professional development sessions as needed.
- Execute additional duties to uphold a safe and productive learning space.
- Strong collaborative abilities to work effectively within a professional team.
- Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced educational setting.
- A minimum of 2 years of college education is required.
- Experience in an educational environment working with children is essential.
- Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, ESL, or Special Education.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole) are encouraged to apply.
