Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead teachers to cultivate a positive learning atmosphere.
- Implement lesson plans and facilitate small group or individual activities to reinforce learning.
- Conduct small group and individual instruction using effective, research-based interventions while tracking student progress.
- Engage students in adhering to school routines and class expectations, promoting strong scholarly habits.
- Partner with special education professionals to deliver tailored supports and accommodations for each student.
- Assist with administrative duties, including maintaining classroom records and participating in parent meetings as necessary.
- Supervise student groups during transitions and assist in maintaining a safe environment during lunch and recess.
- Reflect on feedback to continually improve instructional practices and enhance student support.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a professional team.
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic educational setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of college education.
- Experience working with children in an educational context.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, ESL, or Special Education.
- Bilingual capabilities in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole are highly desirable.
