- Develop and lead a safe, engaging, and educational experience for interns.
- Facilitate tailored environmental education lessons for diverse groups of high school students.
- Mentor interns on the development and execution of their independent research projects.
- Oversee conservation projects, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Foster open communication and inclusivity among interns, colleagues, and program staff.
- Administer first aid and manage emergencies as necessary, adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of program activities and outcomes.
- Manage program equipment and vehicles, ensuring optimal condition and cleanliness.
- Participate in program planning, training sessions, and wrap-up activities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, environmental education, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and CPR certifications.
- 2-3 years of experience teaching ecology or science-based curriculum to middle or high school students.
- Leadership experience in outdoor environments with young adults.
- Field research expertise in wildlife, botany, geology, or ecology.
- Proficient camping and outdoor skills, capable of imparting these skills to others.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Competence in risk management and emergency response.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a background in working with youth from varied backgrounds.
- Physical fitness to lift 50 lbs, hike up to 5 miles/day, and work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.

Compensation And Benefits
- Field Work: $160/day (Monday - Thursday).
- Training Days: $125/day.
