Your role will involve guiding various activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, and arts and crafts, all while cultivating a secure, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere that promotes personal growth and teamwork. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate daily activities consistent with established program goals.
• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and workshops that inspire creativity and personal development.
• Conduct a variety of outdoor activities, ensuring adaptability to weather and participant needs while maintaining program integrity.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure effective program execution.
• Manage logistics, oversee weekly field reports, and assist with program budgeting as required.
• Teach Leave No Trace (LNT) principles to foster a sense of environmental stewardship among participants.
• Promote leadership, teamwork, and personal growth through hands-on experiences and discussions.
• Complete additional tasks to support the organization’s mission and overall program success.

• Proficient communication abilities to effectively engage with participants, staff, and parents.
• Experience leading group activities, particularly with diverse age groups.
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and respect.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth and a passion for outdoor education.
• Current Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to training.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and driving record check if applicable.
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate program vehicles safely if required.
