Key Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in Social Studies for grades 1-8 or History for grades 9-12, focusing on U.S. History and World History.
- Evaluate students’ academic standing and customize lessons accordingly.
- Assist students with test preparation, homework, and other academic challenges during tutoring sessions.
- Foster a motivating environment to keep students engaged and focused on their studies.
- Create or adjust lesson plans to meet the specific requirements of each student.
- Reinforce classroom concepts and offer additional support as necessary.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and collaborate with families to promote student success.
- Meet students in person at designated locations, as needed, while also utilizing virtual platforms for online tutoring sessions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
- Adaptability in lesson planning to cater to diverse learner needs and paces.
- Experience with both in-person and virtual teaching methods is advantageous.

- A New Jersey Standard Teaching Certification or a New Jersey Special Education Certification is required.
