Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic instruction in industrial maintenance, encompassing subjects such as electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechatronics, PLCs, and robotics.
- Facilitate interactive training workshops and workforce development initiatives.
- Assist in the research, development, and prototyping of innovative maker activities that enhance engineering and manufacturing workforce readiness.
- Provide instruction on blueprint reading, precision measurement, and applied mathematics.
- Maintain a safe educational environment by overseeing student equipment operation and ensuring overall lab safety.
- Collaborate with the Workforce Development team to design and implement tailored training programs that meet industry demands.
- Advise students regarding academic progress, course registration, and career pathways.
- Maintain comprehensive educational records and documentation.
- Support student recruitment initiatives and promote workforce development programs.
- Establish and nurture industry connections with manufacturers, educational institutions, and professional organizations.
- Proficiency in industrial maintenance and technology, including comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safe operating protocols.
- Ability to effectively teach courses related to these systems across various learning environments.
- Strong interpersonal, creative problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
- Commitment to supporting a diverse student population.
- Competence to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance, industrial technology, or industrial education with a minimum of two years of professional experience, OR an industry-related certification with at least four years of professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in education or experience in industrial education is preferred.
