Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide educational staff, aligning their efforts with the academic and developmental needs of the children.
- Cultivate a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning styles.
- Deliver direct instruction, closely monitoring student engagement and academic progress.
- Develop and tailor curricula in accordance with local educational standards, incorporating a wide range of subjects including ESL/ESOL.
- Conduct assessments to ascertain each child's educational level and unique learning needs.
- Design individualized educational plans to facilitate students’ academic growth.
- Organize and lead enriching educational field trips and experiential learning opportunities.
- Schedule and facilitate monthly meetings to keep staff updated on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain detailed educational case files, ensuring adherence to program policies and regulations.
- Provide homebound and remedial education, alongside after-school tutoring when required.
- Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary, ensuring seamless lesson continuity and classroom management.
- Support the safety and well-being of children within the program.
- Engage in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the program.
- Strong background in education coupled with proven leadership abilities.

- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching or relevant educational experience.
- Certification in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
- Valid state teaching certification in the state of employment is required.
- Successful completion of all necessary background checks as mandated by relevant authorities.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
