Key Responsibilities
- Provide Specialized Instruction: Develop and implement personalized educational plans in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to promote academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Engage proactively with teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for all students. Offer expert advice on necessary modifications, accommodations, and behavior management techniques.
- Assess and Monitor Progress: Conduct regular assessments of student performance and adjust IEPs as necessary to ensure that students are progressing toward their educational and developmental goals.
- Develop and Implement Programs: Create and execute educational programs that address learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays. Lead training sessions for staff and parents to enhance student success.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in implementing and adapting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Strong understanding of learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- Familiarity with virtual instruction methods (preferred).
- Competence in utilizing technology for effective instruction.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Active Special Education teaching license (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational setting.
- Experience with virtual teaching is advantageous but not mandatory.
