Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement tailored individualized treatment plans (IEPs) to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to reinforce communication goals across all educational environments.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure ongoing success.
- Provide guidance and support to educators on integrating effective speech and language strategies within the classroom.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights for the development of personalized educational plans.
- Educate staff and parents on speech and language strategies that can be utilized both at school and at home.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Experience working effectively with diverse groups of students, educators, and parents.
- A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- A valid Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
