Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment outcomes.
- Deliver direct therapy aimed at improving articulation, language comprehension, phonology, fluency, and more.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to align on student goals.
- Employ evidence-based methodologies to facilitate speech and language development.
- Monitor student progress and refine therapy plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Engage in IEP meetings, contributing insights on speech and language needs.
- Must possess a Speech-Language Pathologist license in South Carolina.
- Hold a South Carolina Educator's Credential.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for supporting K-12 students in a virtual learning environment.
- Exhibit proficiency with assessment tools and therapeutic techniques widely used in speech-language pathology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Previous experience with teletherapy is preferred.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in providing therapy within school or pediatric contexts is required.
