The Student Services Coordinator is integral to supporting and connecting students with diverse programs. The coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, collaborating with community partners, and contributing to the achievement of program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting new participants and orienting them regarding available programs.
- Ensure the prompt preparation and administration of CASAS appraisals, pre-tests, and post-tests.
- Regularly communicate with administrative offices to ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Provide on-site and remote support to students, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting visitors and responding to phone inquiries.
- Assist students with basic technical issues as required.
- Promote and represent programs actively within the community.
- Function as a resource by keeping the community informed of program activities and developments.
- Monitor metrics related to student recruitment, retention, and attendance (ADA).
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports to the supervisor.
- Maintain organized student records, both physical and electronic, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Cultivate positive relationships with community organizations.
- Manage the purchasing and distribution of materials and supplies.
- Oversee student enrollment and registration in various programs.
- Collaborate with site staff to ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Ensure compliance with county health department regulations for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
- Work alongside instructors and teachers to enhance the overall student experience.
- Perform clerical duties and assist in maintaining site efficiency.
- Track the distribution of technological devices to students, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Promptly submit student enrollments, transcripts, and requests to relevant departments.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with the capacity to meet deadlines.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, at times, high-pressure environment.

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- An Associate’s Degree or some college experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance are required.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% as needed.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
- Regular use of hands for typing and operating office equipment, along with frequent communication through talking and listening.
- The role requires the ability to stand, sit, reach with arms; occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, or crawling is necessary.
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds on occasion.
- Close vision is necessary for prolonged periods of desk work and computer usage.
