Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and implement administrative policies and procedures to ensure seamless store operations.
- Create an inviting atmosphere, recognizing the ReStore as a primary point of contact for many customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually attractive store environment.
- Assist the store manager in supervising staff and volunteers, ensuring optimal staffing levels across all areas.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and address any concerns or grievances with professionalism.
- Aid in the upkeep of the store, including compliance with equipment and safety standards.
- Identify and propose solutions to operational challenges to ensure the ReStore’s smooth functioning.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Development to improve engagement in donations, sales, and volunteer participation through impactful campaigns.
- Participate in daily operational activities, which may involve handling merchandise (up to 50 lbs), operating the cash register, and managing loading/unloading tasks.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent orientation towards customer service.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting at least 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- A High School diploma or GED is required, with a minimum of 1 year of retail or business-related experience.
- A Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in retail management are preferred.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various store locations as needed.
- Self-driven with the capability to positively lead and manage staff and volunteers.
- Familiarity with sales, marketing, merchandising, and construction materials is advantageous.
