Key Responsibilities
- Implement administrative policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere, serving as the initial point of contact for numerous customers.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Assist the store manager in overseeing staff and volunteer activities, ensuring adequate staffing across all areas.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and manage any customer concerns with professionalism.
- Participate in maintaining equipment and ensuring safety compliance.
- Proactively identify and communicate solutions to operational challenges.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Development teams to promote donation initiatives and enhance volunteer engagement through strategic campaigns.
- Engage in day-to-day operational tasks, which include lifting and transporting merchandise (up to 50 lbs), operating the cash register, and assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Attend scheduled team meetings and training sessions.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and project management skills.
- High School diploma/GED required; a Bachelor’s degree and prior retail management experience are preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail or business-related experience is required.
- Valid driver’s license preferred with a willingness to travel between regional store locations.
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to positively lead staff and volunteers.
- Knowledge of sales, marketing, merchandising, and construction materials is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
