- Serve as the primary contact for customer issues relating to equipment, quality, and service.
- Assess inventory usage and ensure accurate data management to optimize rental costs.
- Contribute to equipment procurement strategies both in the short and long term.
- Make informed decisions regarding daily business operations.
- Maintain regular interaction with service and repair vendors for accurate billing of customer damages.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all necessary documentation accompanies invoices.
- Monitor and manage open service orders effectively.
- Oversee inspections of inbound and outbound equipment, ensuring timely and accurate damage assessment.
- Manage vendor compliance with policies and industry standards.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment by conducting regular safety meetings.
- Develop and maintain a skilled team through clear communication of responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Strong leadership capabilities, including budget management and deadline adherence.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with negotiation abilities considered a plus.
- Proficiency in multitasking and handling a high volume of work efficiently.
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience operating a switcher/yard jockey is advantageous, though not essential.
- Minimum of 3 years in a management role; experience in semi-trailer maintenance, leasing, or fleet management is preferred and may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams effectively is highly valued.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
