We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to lead our hospice care services. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and guiding the clinical services to deliver exceptional care while ensuring alignment with our organization's mission and values. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of direct and indirect patient services delivered by the clinical team.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to clinical coordinators and supervisors to enhance the quality of hospice care.
- Assist in team management and care planning in conjunction with Clinical Supervisors.
- Act as Executive Director/Administrator in their absence, empowered to make informed decisions.
- Support clinical staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family care.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director/Administrator in budget preparation and management.
- Monitor operational metrics to identify fluctuations in patient volume affecting staffing, revenue, or expenses.
- Evaluate Clinical Supervisors’ performance and assist in their professional development.
- Oversee recruitment processes, performance evaluations, and, when necessary, terminations of clinical staff.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of patient clinical records and reporting.
- Manage inventory to maintain adequate supplies and equipment for patient care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate orientation programs for new hires to facilitate seamless integration into the team.
- Plan and deliver in-service training and continuing education programs to address staff training needs.
- Participate in organizational performance evaluations through productivity reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure safe and high-quality service delivery in hospice care.
- Assist in establishing organizational goals and creating operational policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about advancements in nursing and hospice care, disseminating new knowledge to team members.
- Cultivate relationships within the healthcare community to enhance hospice referrals.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage both clinical and administrative teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Strong foundational knowledge of business management, regulatory compliance, and industry standards, including CHAP.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (preferred).
- A minimum of three years of management experience (preferred).
- Previous experience in hospice or a related healthcare environment is advantageous.
