Job Overview

We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Commercial Manager to spearhead the growth initiatives of our construction division. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with executive leadership, sales, marketing, dealer development, and product support teams to establish and expand sales channels, formulate product strategies, and drive the division’s growth objectives. You will also have a significant impact in crafting a comprehensive product roadmap and sales strategies aimed at acquiring new dealers in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Commercial Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Channel Sales Expansion: Identifying and onboarding new sales partners within the construction industry.
  • Strategy Development: Leveraging your industry expertise to set ambitious growth targets, establish sales channels, and devise competitive pricing strategies for products.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Working in tandem with engineering and product development teams to conceptualize, create, and launch new products that respond to market demands.
  • Dealer Support: Developing and maintaining data templates to keep dealers well-informed and engaged in our offerings.
  • Market Expansion: Collaborating with the National Sales Manager to pinpoint market opportunities and formulate strategies aimed at enhancing market share in the construction sector.
  • Trade Show Participation: Representing our division at local and national trade shows to promote our products and bolster brand recognition.
  • Training Development: Assisting in the creation of training materials for dealers and sales teams to ensure comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Vendor and Client Relations: Cultivating strong relationships with key vendors and clients, as well as engaging in contract negotiations.
  • Reporting: Compiling and presenting regular reports on market opportunities, progress, and business performance.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Strong project management capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments while building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to collect, analyze, and present data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Previous project management experience and market research expertise are desirable.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the tractor, ground care, compact construction, or outdoor power equipment industry.
