Job Overview

Join our esteemed healthcare team as a Front Desk Coordinator, where your detail-oriented and personable nature will create an exceptional experience for our patients. As the initial point of contact, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming front office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, assisting with checkout procedures after their visit.
  • Manage a high volume of incoming calls, taking messages and directing inquiries efficiently.
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures in adherence to established protocols.
  • Collect and process patient and insurance payments, reconciling charges on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, scanning essential documents into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing, transcribing letters, and creating necessary forms.
  • Oversee office supply inventory, ensuring a well-organized front office environment.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations.
  • Support additional office responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email).
  • Capability to accurately perform basic arithmetic and financial transactions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing office needs and demands.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in a medical office, front desk, or scheduling role is preferred.
