Job Overview

We are actively searching for an accomplished Director of Sales to spearhead our sales organization within a multi-unit RV dealership environment. This critical role is instrumental in propelling revenue growth and enhancing customer experiences across our diverse sales operations. The preferred candidate will possess a robust background in RV sales, exemplary leadership capabilities, and the proficiency to efficiently manage multiple sales locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the sales processes and expectations across all dealership locations.
  • Collaborate with General Managers to strategize, execute, and organize activities within the Sales Department, ensuring performance standards are met, including budget targets for gross profit, sales volume, and customer satisfaction.
  • Inspire and lead the RV sales team to surpass sales objectives through effective motivation and guidance.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance inventory control, optimize pricing, and refine merchandising efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and devise sales plans to meet ambitious targets.
  • Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives, encouraging teams to achieve them.
  • Partner with finance and executive teams to develop comprehensive budgets and financial plans for sales initiatives.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure resource allocation yields maximum return on investment.
  • Manage daily departmental operations, guaranteeing adherence to regulations and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to drive overall business success.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with employees and customers to enhance the sales experience.
  • Supervise the implementation of CRM systems to enhance customer engagement and retention.
  • Anticipate customer needs and strive for continuous improvement in satisfaction levels.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop sales management personnel.
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss operations and share vital updates.
  • Mentor emerging managers and assess sales staff performance to promote growth.
  • Foster a positive sales culture that emphasizes teamwork and employee retention.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and uphold high ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards for showroom presentations and merchandising.
  • Regularly review online presence to keep pricing and promotions current.
  • Oversee dealer expenses through consistent monthly evaluations.
  • Aid in the development of advertising initiatives to support the sales department.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create promotional collateral for products and services.
  • Participate actively in corporate meetings as required.
  • Work closely with the inventory team to forecast stock levels for optimal inventory management.
  • Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to monitor sales performance.
  • Prepare sales reports for leadership and track key performance indicators.
  • Lead weekly meetings with retail locations to communicate expectations and strategies.

Required Skills

  • 5 years of multi-unit experience in RV dealership management, sales, and CRM software.
  • Proven history of consistent sales growth in RV sales management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in sales and trend forecasting.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to excellence.
  • Capable of excelling in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a focus on accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license is a requirement.

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug screening.
