Key Responsibilities
- Direct and lead the medical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Offer clinical oversight for complex cases and provide guidance on patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Supervise clinical staff, including conducting performance evaluations and managing workflow to ensure clinical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to set strategic objectives and ensure culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
- Work in partnership with department leaders to create and implement medical programs that meet the community’s specific healthcare needs.
- Promote clinical excellence, enhance access to healthcare services, and improve provider satisfaction.
- Current and unrestricted medical license or advanced practice license (MD, DO, PA, or NP) to practice in California.
- Board certification in a relevant primary care specialty.
- Strong commitment to serving underserved populations with an understanding of cultural sensitivity in healthcare.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in staff management and program development.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse staff and patients.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and patient safety practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize and manage various responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant medical software.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in an ambulatory care or FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) setting being favorable.
- Passion for providing care to underserved populations and a strong understanding of cultural sensitivity in a healthcare context.
- Proven track record in leadership, including experience with staff management and leading change initiatives.

- NP: \(200,000 - \)245,000 per year
