We are currently seeking a proficient Freelance Estate Planning Paralegal based in the State of Florida to join our dynamic legal team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review legal documents pertaining to estate planning, trust administration, and real estate title work.
- Obtain, organize, and manage documents and records from clients and state/local agencies.
- Review and edit legal documents ensuring compliance with Florida State Law and Procedure.
- Handle e-filing processes and manage discovery.
- Maintain case files and diligently manage deadlines through effective scheduling and reminders.
- Coordinate hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
- Conduct legal research as necessary to support casework.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and judicial offices.
- Engage with clients via phone, Zoom, or Google Meet to provide case assistance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant specializing in estate planning and trust administration.
- Strong organizational abilities and a proven capacity to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in e-filing, legal research, and document drafting.
- Familiarity with legal software, specifically Wealth Counsel/Form Builder (WestLaw) and Clio.
- A valid paralegal certificate or a Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Candidates must be full-time freelancers without any W2 employment obligations.
- Availability during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, in alignment with the client's time zone.
