Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the behaviors, skills, and needs of your clients.
- Develop and execute tailored Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on individual assessments.
- Create evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to improve communication, social skills, academic performance, and daily living activities.
- Monitor client progress, revise treatment plans as necessary, and apply data-driven decision-making.
- Educate and assist parents and caregivers in the application of behavioral strategies in home settings.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and occupational therapists, to provide cohesive care.
- Supervise and mentor Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other direct support staff.
- Facilitate staff training and conduct performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Effectively manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques to maintain safety.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records as per industry standards.
- Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
- Competence in CPT coding and data management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective mentorship and supervision skills for staff development.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certification: Must hold the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential in good standing from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
