Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for all project-related initiatives, effectively engaging with government officials, contract representatives, and pertinent stakeholders.
- Direct and manage the execution of contract objectives and deliverables, ensuring they align with mission goals through close collaboration with government teams.
- Supervise a diverse workforce, including skilled trades and administrative staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance.
- Ensure adherence to performance objectives, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Take charge of profit and loss (P&L), environmental conservation efforts, and compliance with contract demands.
- Lead operational planning for contingency situations, including adverse weather conditions, guaranteeing effective execution during crises.
- Engage actively in business development to cultivate strong client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, complemented by proficiency in briefing and presentation.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Solid understanding of base operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and airfield operations.
- Familiarity with CMMS work order management, especially IBM Maximo.
- Experience with cost estimating tools, such as RS Means, is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in base support or facility management, ideally within a context involving $15M in annual revenue (or equivalent experience, with 20 years in lieu of a degree).
- Previous exposure to military environments is advantageous.
- Proven success in managing a unionized workforce and a strong grasp of relevant government contracting policies and procedures.
