In this role, you will guide and mentor a team of project managers, offering strategic direction while ensuring program efficiency and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for client programs, facilitating seamless execution in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the governance of programs from initiation through execution, including risk management and performance monitoring.
- Drive enhancements in project management methodologies, tools, and reporting systems.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership to the Project Management team by setting objectives, mentoring team members, and ensuring best practice adherence.
- Manage and develop a growing team of project managers, focusing on resource allocation and professional growth.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex project challenges, proactively identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of project milestones, financial performance, and client communications.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Business Development, Operations, and R&D, ensuring project execution is aligned with company goals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients and promote a client-centric approach to delivering exceptional service.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, life sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 7 years of project/program management experience within a CDMO, CRO, or pharmaceutical/biotech environment.
- PMP certification or formal project management training is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the capability to develop and manage high-performing teams.
- Strong business insight with a proven history of driving operational excellence and revenue enhancement.
- Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and relationship management abilities.
- Proficient in influencing and collaborating across all organizational levels.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook), Smartsheet, and project management software.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
