Position: Billing Clerk (Remote)

This role is fully remote and available to residents within the U.S. Initially, it will demand a significant commitment in hours with the prospect of transitioning to part-time as the company expands. Flexible hours are available, with approximately 50% of work time expected to align with standard business hours (8am - 6pm PST, Monday to Friday). Availability for some evening and weekend work may be required during peak periods.
A reliable internet connection is essential, as our team utilizes digital tools such as Practice Panther, Basecamp, Google Drive, and Lawmatics. Candidates should also possess a webcam and headset for effective communication through RingCentral.

- Timely creation and issuance of invoices to clients.
- Processing of credit memos and preparation of account statements.

- Management of customer account balances and resolution of discrepancies.
- Supporting the accounting team in the preparation of financial statements.
- Updating accounting records, encompassing new payments, issued invoices, balances, and client contact information.

Key Requirements

- Previous experience as a billing clerk or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, relevant legal regulations, and IOLTA trust accounts.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Capability to work efficiently under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
