Key Responsibilities
Location: This fully remote position is available to candidates residing within the United States.
Work Hours: The initial few months will require a commitment of more hours as we optimize our systems and workflows. Eventually, this role will transition to a part-time schedule, contingent upon company growth. While some tasks may be completed during evenings or weekends, at least 50% of your working hours should align with standard business hours (8 am - 6 pm, Monday to Friday).
Technical Requirements: A reliable internet connection is essential as you will utilize tools such as Practice Panther, Basecamp, Google Drive, and Lawmatics. Additionally, a webcam and headset are necessary for client and team communications via RingCentral.

Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Creation & Management: Generate and distribute invoices to clients promptly while ensuring accuracy.
- Credit Memos & Account Statements: Process necessary credit memos and produce account statements to keep clients informed.
- Payment Monitoring & Follow-up: Track incoming payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and address customer inquiries regarding billing and account statuses.
- Billing Reports: Compile and prepare monthly billing reports that provide insights into our accounts.
- Account Balances & Records Management: Address account discrepancies and ensure all records reflect issued invoices, received payments, and updated client information.
- Financial Report Assistance: Collaborate with the accounting team to aid in the creation of detailed financial reports.

- Experience: Previous experience as a billing clerk or in a related finance role is preferred.
- Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks is advantageous) and a general understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and the ability to learn new software efficiently.
- Core Skills: Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail are critical.
