This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with deep knowledge in IT security and compliance, tasked with the oversight and maintenance of security documentation and procedures across various systems. You will collaborate closely with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) to manage risks, ensure compliance with regulations, and safeguard sensitive information, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the creation, updating, and maintenance of security documentation, including privacy assessments and system security plans to comply with government standards.
- Conduct and oversee annual Security Control Assessments (SCAs) for approximately 63 systems, ensuring the timely resolution of identified issues and facilitating comprehensive assessments for new systems.
- Direct the Computer Security Incident Response Capability (CSIRC) operations on a 24⁄7 basis, including training for analysts and addressing security incidents involving PII.
- Develop and sustain a Cyberthreat Dashboard to monitor and report cyber threat activities effectively.
- Establish and coordinate security tools for the Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC), focusing on vulnerability management and enhancing response capabilities.
- Continuously monitor network activities to identify and prevent unauthorized actions.
- Guarantee the security and compliance of financial systems for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), aligning with applicable accounting standards and accessibility requirements.
- Provide support for various applications and databases, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and policies.

- Knowledge of incident response operations.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience, including at least 6 years in senior IT security roles; or
- A Bachelor's degree in the same fields with a minimum of 12 years of pertinent experience, including 8 years in senior roles.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is required.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation certification is preferred.
