Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and committed Project Manager to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in steering and orchestrating large-scale, intricate customer-centric projects, ensuring seamless delivery from inception to completion. Serving as the primary link between engineering teams and clients, you will manage all facets of project delivery, particularly focusing on the deployment of Ubuntu images across diverse devices such as robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with client and organizational objectives.
• Deliver engineering professional services, including custom board enablement and Ubuntu image deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to formulate and execute project statements of work.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and plans.
• Secure client approval for timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and facilitate the resolution of technical challenges.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage essential third-party deliverables, ensuring they conform to project timelines.
• Keep management updated on project progress and potential challenges.
• Advocate for custom engineering requests beyond existing contracts by identifying relevant technologies.
• Adapt working hours to accommodate various time zones and global projects.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently while effectively managing priorities.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proven track record in project management, especially in delivering engineering services and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing projects with international teams across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
• Comprehensive understanding of Linux and the open-source software landscape, as well as computer architecture.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of English.
• Natural leadership ability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and demanding clients.
• PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is advantageous.
  
  

Qualifications

• A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in overseeing engineering services.
