You will be responsible for overseeing the deployment of Ubuntu images across a diverse array of devices, including robotics, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with both team and client objectives.
- Deliver engineering professional services on designated projects, working collaboratively with internal teams.
- Facilitate custom board enablement and manage the delivery of Ubuntu images to clients.
- Create project statements of work and maintain detailed project schedules and plans.
- Secure client approval for timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure project completion within the defined scope, on schedule, and within budget.
- Identify, address, and mitigate project risks.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and internal stakeholders through regular updates.
- Manage third-party deliverables to ensure project timelines are met.
- Keep management informed of project status and escalate issues as necessary.
- Promote the utilization of relevant technologies from the product portfolio.
- Provide support for projects across various time zones while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrable experience in project management, notably in delivering engineering services and overseeing software development teams.
- Proven expertise in managing international and cross-cultural projects.
- A robust understanding of Linux and the Open Source Software community.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong leadership qualities and problem-solving capabilities, with a history of establishing effective partnerships.
- PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification is advantageous.
- Willingness to accommodate flexible working hours to support a global team.
- Ability to travel up to four times a year for internal gatherings.
