Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of Workers’ Compensation cases from initiation to conclusion.
- Conduct depositions, including client preparation, attendance, and invoicing responsibilities.
- Support associates in case management, legal strategies, and utilizing the firm's case management systems.
- Assess cases and offer recommendations for settlements, authorizing necessary adjustments.
- Address client inquiries requiring attorney negotiation and facilitate case resolutions.
- Provide guidance to paralegals and support staff as needed.
- Participate in trials and hearings requiring legal representation.
- Assist associates with intricate client interactions.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, leading by example and mentoring junior staff.
- Engage in team-building initiatives and provide feedback to enhance firm operations.
- Perform additional duties as directed by managing partners and leadership.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law.
- Proven experience handling Doctors’ depositions is essential.
- Strong skills in legal writing and verbal communication.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
