Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of Workers’ Compensation cases from initiation to conclusion.
• Conduct depositions, including client preparation, attendance, and invoicing responsibilities.
• Support associates in case management, legal strategies, and utilizing the firm's case management systems.
• Assess cases and offer recommendations for settlements, authorizing necessary adjustments.
• Address client inquiries requiring attorney negotiation and facilitate case resolutions.
• Provide guidance to paralegals and support staff as needed.
• Participate in trials and hearings requiring legal representation.
• Assist associates with intricate client interactions.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, leading by example and mentoring junior staff.
• Engage in team-building initiatives and provide feedback to enhance firm operations.
• Perform additional duties as directed by managing partners and leadership.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation law.
• Proven experience handling Doctors’ depositions is essential.
• Strong skills in legal writing and verbal communication.
• Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
