Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to assess their legal needs and provide expert guidance.
- Draft and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
- Oversee all phases of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests.
- Conduct thorough legal research, write motions, and represent clients in court.
- Participate in trial proceedings, interviewing witnesses and presenting compelling cases.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and arbitrations.
- Manage a diverse array of probate litigation cases with expertise.
- Independently handle your caseload, meeting deadlines and organizational goals.
- Must hold a valid attorney license in California.
- Strong academic credentials with a proven track record of excellence.
- Exceptional work ethic and reliability.
- Outstanding client service abilities and prompt communication skills.
- Experience in litigation and a desire to engage actively in court appearances.
- A minimum of 6 years of legal experience with at least 5 years focused on probate, wills, trusts, and estate litigation.
- Detail-oriented with strong drafting, negotiating, and effective communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Courtroom experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Code of Civil Procedure.
- Licensed attorney in California.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 6-16 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with substantial focus on probate law.
