Reporting directly to the Executive Clinical Director, the therapist will be instrumental in delivering virtual therapy sessions, performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, formulating treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to our clients’ needs. This position is intended for licensed professionals with a strong background in substance abuse and mental health therapy.

Reporting directly to the Executive Clinical Director, the therapist will be instrumental in delivering virtual therapy sessions, performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, formulating treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to our clients’ needs. This position is intended for licensed professionals with a strong background in substance abuse and mental health therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily therapeutic experience for assigned clients through virtual interactions, ensuring their needs are comprehensively addressed.
- Complete and uphold all necessary documentation in accordance with predetermined timelines.
- Execute initial as well as ongoing client assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations and mental status examinations.
- Create personalized treatment plans that reflect each client's unique circumstances, history, and symptoms.
- Administer individual, couple/family, and group therapy sessions as required, fostering a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.
- Exhibit respect for the diverse cultural and lifestyle backgrounds of clients and colleagues.
- Provide crisis intervention services, including assessments related to 5150 needs when necessary.
- Remain updated on current legal and ethical standards within the realm of clinical practice, including professional boundaries and reporting mandates.
- Integrate knowledge of the 12-step recovery model (such as AA, NA, CA, Alanon) into treatment strategies.
- Licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist.
- Proficient in performing biopsychosocial assessments and mental status examinations.
- Ability to develop tailored treatment plans for individual clients.
- Experience in conducting individual, couple/family, and group therapy.
- Familiarity with the 12-step recovery model.
- Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and word processing purposes.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related discipline.
- At least two years of experience in the mental health and/or substance abuse treatment field, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Health screening is mandatory.
- Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination for job-related tasks, including desk work and keyboard use.
- Ability to navigate the facility to monitor clients and staff as needed.
