Job Overview

We are in search of a results-oriented Vice President of Silicon Operations to spearhead the supply chain management for our silicon product line, encompassing Endpoint ICs and Reader ICs. This pivotal role entails overseeing the entire production lifecycle, from wafer procurement through to post-processing, warehousing of finished goods, and the timely shipment to our esteemed customers. You will hold responsibility for ensuring optimal product quantity, quality, and cost management, as our company continues to expand significantly in unit volume.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of and manage the complete supply chain for all silicon products.
  • Formulate and implement a forward-looking 5-year supply chain strategy.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to create demand forecasts for short, medium, and long-term needs.
  • Align wafer supply strategies with both supply and financial objectives.
  • Enhance and manage our network of contract manufacturers to ensure efficient conversion of wafers into finished products.
  • Promote high standards of quality and customer service while achieving financial, operational, and social responsibility goals.
  • Develop sourcing strategies while managing contracts, negotiations, and relationships with global raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics providers.
  • Oversee manufacturing and logistics operations effectively.
  • Continuously monitor, report, and enhance supply chain performance through key performance indicators.
  • Manage both the capital and operational budgets necessary to support supply initiatives.
  • Lead and nurture the team to adapt to the needs of rapid growth and evolving challenges.

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience within supply chain management, including a minimum of 5-7 years in a managerial capacity within a global organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO9001 standards or in regulated industries.
  • Proven record in supplier management, cost reduction, on-time delivery, and implementing sustainability practices.
  • Experience in negotiating large-scale, multi-year contracts with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to effectively scale teams, processes, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience in a global organizational setting.
  • Strong background in supplier management and contract negotiations.

Compensation And Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from \(190,000 to \)305,000, contingent upon role complexity, responsibilities, and relevant experience. Additional compensation may include merit increases, annual bonuses, and stock awards based on individual performance. U.S.-based employees are eligible for comprehensive healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and other valuable benefits.
