Job Overview

In this pivotal role, you will significantly influence our sales strategies while providing vital support to the Vice President of Sales. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Actively participate in outreach efforts, including cold calling, to connect with potential clients.
  • Sales Material Creation: Design persuasive sales presentations, brochures, product data sheets, and other marketing collateral.
  • Customer Database Management: Keep precise records of customer interactions, sales patterns, and potential leads, with an emphasis on assisting customers with rebate applications.
  • Schedule Optimization: Efficiently coordinate the VP’s calendar, managing meetings and appointments.
  • Meeting Management: Organize meeting logistics, prepare agendas, and ensure smooth execution.
  • Communication Oversight: Manage the VP’s correspondence, including emails and other communication channels, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Travel Planning: Organize and coordinate travel arrangements for the VP as necessary.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, delivering prompt and knowledgeable responses.
  • Order Processing Support: Assist customers with their orders, ensuring accurate processing and tracking.
  • Issue Management: Proactively handle customer concerns, maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Rebate Application Assistance: Support customers in navigating the rebate application processes for our products and services.
  • Invoice and Payment Management: Generate accurate invoices for customer billing, prepare detailed packing slips, and monitor incoming payments.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Engage with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and nurture ongoing relationships. Seek and compile customer feedback to enhance service quality and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in sales support or administrative roles, ideally within the lighting industry.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and various office software.
  • A customer-focused approach and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in sales support or administrative capacities, preferably in the lighting industry.
