Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and validate employee time records across various locations, working closely with teams to address any discrepancies.
  • Manage the integration of new employees and updates in the payroll system, encompassing earnings, deductions, and benefit accruals.
  • Execute the preparation and upload of payroll-related batch entries for biweekly payroll cycles.
  • Perform payroll audits to guarantee compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Calculate manual payroll for terminations, special payments, and garnishments when necessary.
  • Offer backup payroll assistance and support year-end payroll processes.
  • Address inquiries from employees and management concerning payroll and timekeeping matters.
  • Participate in additional payroll-related initiatives as needed.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and timekeeping is essential, with a preference for experience in multi-state payroll.
  • Familiarity with payroll and time & attendance systems, such as UKG and ADP.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets effectively.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities in a dynamic work setting.
  • Capable of handling sensitive information with utmost professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive outlook and a collaborative team spirit.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and timekeeping.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Payroll certification (e.g., CPP or FPC) is advantageous but not mandatory.
