Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to become an integral member of our expanding team in Plymouth, MN. This pivotal role is essential for driving our business growth initiatives by identifying and qualifying prospective customers, managing lead data within the CRM, and supporting our sales team through market research and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate potential customer leads using various online databases, LinkedIn, and industry-specific websites.
  • Conduct thorough research to qualify leads based on their business needs, decision-making capabilities, and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM to reflect contact details and lead statuses.
  • Perform comprehensive research on target organizations to customize our sales outreach strategies effectively.
  • Score and prioritize leads to focus on high-value opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound calls to validate prospect information and evaluate business requirements.
  • Engage with existing clients to uncover additional sales opportunities and replacement needs for parts.
  • Prepare and issue quotations along with pertinent product information to prospects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team through timely communication of lead insights and updates.
  • Ensure the integrity of CRM data through regular updates to company and contact records.
  • Maintain organized documentation of sales activities and track prospect engagement.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in research and data management, with experience utilizing CRM platforms.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills, demonstrating comfort in making outbound calls.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities to effectively assess and qualify leads.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and online prospecting tools such as LinkedIn and industry databases.
  • Ability to operate independently while contributing to a remote sales team.
  • A keen interest in sales with aspirations for growth into a sales role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales support or a similar field is advantageous, along with familiarity with CRM platforms and lead generation tools.
