Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to establish short, mid, and long-term strategies aimed at positioning the company as an industry leader in heavy civil infrastructure asset inspection, preservation, and management.
- Elevate the company's status as a nationally and internationally recognized authority in the field of infrastructure inspection, preservation, and asset management.
- Engage with industry associations such as AASHTO, TRB, and ACI to influence policy, research, and standards in infrastructure management.
- Build and cultivate an in-house team, along with policies and procedures, to address current and future infrastructure inspection demands throughout the nation.
- Partner closely with the business development team to drive sustained growth by advocating for advanced technologies and methodologies with state owners.
- Lead the bridge inspection program, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards, including 23 CFR 650.301, NBIS, SNBI, and AASHTO MBE.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the inventory and inspection of bridges on publicly owned roadways.
- Mentor and guide a team of bridge inspectors and leaders to effectively manage state bridge inspection programs.
- Safeguard public safety, protect public investments, maintain accurate bridge records, and ensure compliance with legal obligations related to infrastructure inspection.
- Certify that participants in the bridge inspection program possess the required credentials and approve their experience justifications.
- Provide overall leadership and mentorship to colleagues, fostering professional growth and development.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support the ongoing growth and advancement of the business.
- Profound knowledge and experience in structural inspection and design, particularly for complex bridge types, including cable-stayed, suspension, truss, and movable structures.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure inspection, preservation, and asset management practices.
- Proven capability in managing infrastructure assets at state, local, or federal levels.
- Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Strategic mindset with a background in developing growth strategies and leading teams to success.
- Passionate about resolving complex challenges and generating innovative solutions.
- Self-driven with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Ability to navigate diverse projects and work environments.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in inspection, preservation, and asset management of heavy civil infrastructure.
- Willingness to travel 25% or more as part of job responsibilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Colorado.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- SPRAT L1 Certification or a commitment to obtain it within six months of hire.
