Cedar Rapids Controller - Financial Leadership Role

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our organization as a Controller. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing our financial planning and policies, managing accounting practices, and ensuring the meticulous maintenance of fiscal records. As a Controller, you will play an integral part in financial reporting and provide decisive leadership in budgeting, accounting, and fiscal operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial and statistical data to inform operating units about profitability and resource utilization, thereby supporting the organization's fiscal health and operational effectiveness.
• Maintain the organization's chart of accounts and general ledger, reviewing journal entries for all transactions and assets. Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts while upholding planning and control procedures.
• Supervise the accounting and payroll teams, managing annual audit functions, including year-end financial audits and 401(k) plan audits.
• Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations, including corporate and payroll taxes.
• Analyze performance metrics to pinpoint efficiencies and implement best practices across multiple clinics.
