Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Financial Integrity: Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining accuracy within the general ledger.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist with closing processes, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Account Reconciliation: Oversee reconciliations for crucial balance sheet accounts such as cash, receivables, payables, and fixed assets.
- Financial Reporting: Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Audit Support: Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
- Fixed Assets & Depreciation: Monitor capital expenditures, document depreciation, and manage asset disposals.
- Variance Analysis: Identify and assess discrepancies in financial reports, offering valuable insights for decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate on enhancing financial processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Regulatory Filings: Assist with tax returns, sales tax submissions, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Provide support to leadership on special financial initiatives and analyses.
- Profound understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and formulas).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
