You will play a key role in overseeing tax reporting, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the 1099⁄1042 tax reporting process, guaranteeing precise preparation, filing, and reconciliation. Address inquiries from providers, manage B-Notice requirements, and collaborate with internal teams to rectify business names, addresses, and tax IDs.
- Supervise Sales & Use Tax Compliance by managing corporate tax provisions, estimated tax payments, journal entries, and account reconciliations, while investigating any discrepancies.
- Oversee the vendor master database, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and legitimacy. Approve new vendor setups and manage existing updates.
- Analyze financial data and metrics using Excel to generate insightful reports related to tax reporting and vendor management.
- Spearhead cross-functional projects by developing work plans, allocating resources, assessing risks, and ensuring timely execution of initiatives tied to tax and vendor functions.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or a similar financial position.
- In-depth understanding of 1099⁄1042 tax reporting and compliance.
- Proven experience with sales and use tax filings, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Capable of leading projects and collaborating effectively across departments.
- Experience managing vendor databases and ensuring compliance.
- Flexibility to work during peak tax reporting periods.
- An Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- Pay Range: \(25.50 - \)27.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Mostly remote work arrangement with onsite requirements in Portland, OR only 2-3 times monthly
