Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile financial records and address any discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate coding and posting of financial documents following company protocols.
- Match invoices with packing slips and order forms, maintaining necessary documentation.
- Access financial systems for account-related inquiries.
- Process debits, credits, and account totals using accounting software efficiently.
- Verify accuracy and compliance of figures, postings, and documents.
- Monitor accounts to guarantee timely payments.
- Compile comprehensive reports concerning expenditures and accounts payable.
- Calculate and prepare payments for utilities, taxes, and additional expenses.
- Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and company regulations.
- Carry out financial calculations, including interest charges, balances, and discounts.
- Manage general administrative tasks such as filing and handling correspondence.
- Research and prepare Forms 1099 for year-end processing.
- Maintain copies of invoices coded to asset accounts for review by the Controller and Accounting Manager.
- Strong grasp of arithmetic, algebra, and accounting fundamentals.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Familiarity with administrative procedures, including document management and data entry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- High school diploma required; an Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with experience in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
