Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting and financial management for the hotel and its restaurant.
- Represent the finance department in daily meetings, providing essential financial insights.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations and assist in the preparation of reports for tax authorities.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve strategic financial goals and objectives.
- Prepare and evaluate annual budgets, monthly profit and loss statements, daily pace reports, and balance ledgers.
- Verify and scrutinize all financial reports for accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Timely submission of management reports, offering actionable insights for informed decision-making.
- Establish and uphold accounting policies and procedures that safeguard assets and ensure operational control.
- Work in tandem with all departments to enhance revenue and effectively manage costs.
- Supervise internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Cultivate positive and collaborative relationships with team members, fostering a supportive work environment.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Minimum of five years of experience in hotel accounting.
- Proficient in Excel and other financial software.
- Familiarity with accounting systems like ADP, Sun, SAP, Sage, Freshbooks, etc.
- Experience with Hotel Software or Property Management Systems such as OPERA, Protel, etc.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Highly organized, personable, and adept at engaging effectively with both guests and staff.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with a capacity for data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
