Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, delivering expert guidance and support.
- Prepare and present financial reports for management, boards, and finance committees.
- Recommend and implement enhancements in accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance policies.
- Oversee transactional functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general accounting.
- Manage monthly reconciliations, month-end close, and ensure accurate workpapers are maintained.
- Analyze financial data, develop visual reports, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Handle grant allocations, funder reporting, and audit preparations.
- Provide training and development opportunities for clients and team members.
- A deep-seated passion for supporting nonprofit organizations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and various general ledger systems, particularly QuickBooks.
- Experience in nonprofit accounting, public accounting, or consulting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- CPA certification is a plus.
