Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and refine asset management strategies tailored to the property portfolio.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, devise business plans, and oversee significant capital improvement initiatives.
- Manage substantial property renovations while supervising the disposition and marketing of assets.
- Evaluate and implement financing strategies for owned properties.
- Oversee joint venture partnerships to ensure goal alignment and achievement of milestones.
- Lead capital partner reporting and facilitate investor buyouts and exits.
- Develop and execute investment strategies aimed at maximizing property income, cash flow, and long-term value.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, demographic shifts, and economic drivers to inform investment decisions.
- Collaborate with property management leadership to ensure operational excellence across the portfolio.
- Partner with acquisitions and development teams to assess market conditions, property enhancements, and strategic growth opportunities.
- Support organizational growth through acquisitions, development projects, and investment activities.
- Spearhead restructuring, refinancing, and workouts while maintaining strong relationships with lenders and equity partners.
- Communicate portfolio performance, trends, and critical insights to senior leadership.
- Represent the organization at industry associations and networking events to remain informed of best practices and emerging trends.
- Extensive background in affordable housing and multifamily real estate.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Western U.S. real estate market, including supply and demand dynamics.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex real estate transactions beyond mere financial metrics.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly in Excel.
- Experience in managing development projects, major property renovations, and asset repositioning.
- Familiarity with engaging lenders and joint venture partners during construction and repositioning phases.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the multifamily real estate sector, including roles of leadership.
- Demonstrated asset management experience within a real estate investment firm or institutional ownership context.
- Strong institutional ownership perspective with experience acting in a principal capacity.
- A financially driven approach complemented by robust analytical capabilities.
