Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all client deliverables related to the NAV process, including financial statements, investor reports, capital call notices, and distribution notices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team comprising Associate Fund Accountants, Fund Accountants, and Senior Fund Accountants.
- Offer guidance on performance assessments and team growth.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and proactively mitigate potential risks.
- Review and calculate complex management fees, incentive fees, capital calls, and allocations.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, participating in regular meetings and addressing ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain and update the client Operating Memorandum to manage relationships effectively.
- Collaborate with diverse internal teams, including Financial Control, Client Service, Implementation, and Technology, to streamline operations.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to accounting and financial reporting professionals.
- Oversee fund-client audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Conduct technical research and remain informed of industry best practices.
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in team management.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a client-oriented approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Direct experience with fund administration, private equity, credit, or real estate funds is advantageous.
- CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, ideally within financial services or fund administration.
